Jakhongir Kakhkharov, PhD, is a Lecturer in Finance at the College of Business, Government and Law, Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia. He holds PhD degree in Finance from Griffith University, Australia. Dr Kakhkharov’s current teaching areas are “Money, Banking and Finance,” “Investment Analysis and Management,” “Financial Markets,” “Financial Institutions Management,” “Portfolio Management” and “Financial Management.” His research interests include the impact of remittances on socio-economic phenomena, fintech, banking, and financial sector development in transition economies. Dr Kakhkharov published in peer-reviewed economics and finance journals. His past work experience includes consultancy projects with World Bank, UNDP, ADB, GIZ and staff positions with ABN AMRO Bank.
